WASHER BOXES

40 boxes and counting………Greg Pines

#1 This was my first box and was not expecting to create a washer phonomenon. It is covered with stickers of surf spots I’ve surfed at…. Picture

#2  I made a box for Mike and I used brown stain and no lacquer(mistake). The cups keep getting knocked off and the boxes are way smaller than standard size.

Great for the River though….no picture of it yet.

#3 Made a set for my Dad, used a dark stain and lacquer. I also tried to make latches on the sides so the boxes could be placed together and carried. Sort of worked….Picture

#4 Made a set for Father-in-Law Tom.  Dark stain with lacquer….no picture yet

#5 Made a set for Father-in-Law Chris.  Black, Yellow, and Grey….no picture yet

#6 Made Aaron a Dodgers box, it is way too big, at least an inch each direction. I also used spray paint. It was a poor job…Picture

#7 Made Troy a USC set, very similar to Aaron’s Dodger box, too big and used nails instead of screws(washers knock rails apart)…..Picture

#8 Made David and Felicia a UCLA/St. Mary’s set, too big. I made this set at the same time as the previous two sets, I blame it on the cheap tape measure I was using.(think it was missing some #’s)…..Picture

#9 I made this all black box with gold cups and brought it out for the finals of WSOWI.(Mike def Jaime)….Picture

#10 Made a set for myself, green rails, grey on the inside, and green astroturf for the mat. This was before I started using carpet runner. I also revisited the diagonal cuts on the corners…..Picture

#11 I was feeling a little patriotic. I made this set entirely from a 5-hole game that I didn’t really like…..Picture

#12 Made a set for Joe. One box is Garden Grove and the other is Rancho. Joe  has coached baseball for  both schools. These boxes came out very nice….Picture

#13 Used a cherry colored stain on these boxes….Picture

#14 Made this set for my brother-in-law Kevin. Da Bears….Picture

#15 Used a clear coat on this set and it has a hole cut in the box at the center of each cup so a light can be shined up through it. It works pretty well…..Picture

#16 This is a black box with some Metallica stickers on it, since I’ve made it I have taken them off, now just a black box….Picture

#17 Made a new set for Mike since his first set was so crappy. This one came with a cup counter…..Picture

#18 Made this set for Corey, his favorite soccer club, Galatasaray? ….Picture

#19 Made this set for myself using blue stain and this marble colored carpet. One of my best….Picture

#20 Made Aaron a new set since his Dodger box was so unofficial. This is a Godzilla themed box with a really nice dark green stain….Picture

#21 Made Eric a Jack Daniels themed set, almost looks good enough to drink….Picture

#22 Made these Red boxes for Brian. They eventually got some Angel stickers put on them…..Picture

#23 Used an olive colored stain and blue carpets….Picture

#24 Made some Green and White boxes to use on game days. Green carpets too. These are nice!....Picture

#25 This set was made for GGFD. Something to do between calls I guess…..Picture

#26 This box was made of older wood that I took from something else. Bright orange with blue stripes and blue carpet. A lot of people like this box…..Picture

#27 Made a yellow set with green carpet….Picture

#28 A white box with blue carpet…..Picture

#29 A red box with blue carpet…..Picture

#32 A box with a really nice brown stain/polyurthane mixture….very nice…..Picture

#33 through #39 Blue and white boxes in different shapes, made their debut at the World Series of Washers IV.  All boxes have the same area and should be about the same for gameplay. However many complaints were that there were lots of bounce outs with boxes that had more sides………Square Box Picture, Triangle Box Picture, Pentagon Box Picture, Hexagon box Picture, Heptagon Box Picture, Octagon Box Picture, Decagon Box Picture

#40 The home plate box, the same area as any other box, but in the shape of homeplate. Painted black and grey to match the new washer stadium.

#41 Black and Blue box for Adam and Jesse.

#42 Trapezoid box made with clear stain, tan paint, and green carpet.
