After watching Derek Jeter get his 3,000th hit last
week I started thinking about how a player must be consistent and stay
healthy over a long career. Then I started thinking about the longevity of washers.
The constant bending over at the back to pick up washers will catch up with
us in time. So I created the monsterstick. This is very similar to
the willywasher except I don’t have to order it online,
but I guess I do have to order the cool magnets parts online, but I can make a bunch
of these monstersticks really cheap. This may be the best
washer innovation since the creation of the “gold one” washer. |

Updated the Gentleman’s Games,(player rankings), added “good strategy
picture” to the glossary, added picture of a new washer box #32,
and the backboard below. Also changed the name of the washer stadium to the
“Garden”, and then changed it back to the “Stadium” again. |

Aaron dominates the field in World Series
of Washers 3 as he goes 5-0. Greg takes 2nd
place, Troy and Minh each finish 3rd. (stats pictures) WSOW 4 will be a Coed tournament and will feature a
new “pool play” format so everyone will play the same amount of games and the
tournament should take half the time. This will make use of all washer boxes,
avoid people waiting for others to finish their games. This will allow for
conolation winners as well. Tentatively set for October…..start practicingJ |

pictures because I used my phone to take the picture and it was kinda
dark……in an attempt to bring more female players to the sport I created a special washer box
that may attract the ladies. |

Here are some pictures of “The Other Washers
Game”. I have had this board for awhile and changed it’s design a few times.
If you ask most people (besides the one in our little world of washers) this
is their washers game. When I first came across “our washers game” I was
trying to build this game but decided to build both of course. The rules can
be found easily on the internet, I will not bore you with them. This game
will not take up space on this site, this site is only for “our washers game”

at my house. Corey and Aaron came back from being down 10 to 0, to beat Troy
and Greg 15 to 11. Greg and Eric defeated Kevin and Levi in two out of three

Washers played at Myron and Aaron’s house
yesterday. Aaron, Greg, and Cory were playing. Towards the end of the first game
Greg was up on Aaron 14-13. Aaron threw a washer in the box and in the cup.
On Greg’s first toss Aaron yelled, “no switcher-oos” and the rare switcher-oo
happened knocking Aaron’s Dodger washer completely out of the cup and box. It
looked like Greg was going to win on a switcher-oo, but Cory who hadn’t even
scored a point yet threw his final washer in the cup which canceled
everything out and kept the game going for another 6 innings….pretty funny
stuff. |

First night game completed last Tuesday
night(7/13/2010) at San Onofre campground. Played with LED light boxes
and glow in the dark washers. Two games played between Greg and Myron. Not a
single washer was lost. Myron said that judging distance was the most
difficult part because only the cup was lit up. |
